Melissa Mulligan, Owner

Melissa Mulligan has been coaching singers, musicians and songwriters for more than a decade. She works as the vocal coach for professional recording artists such as AJR, Hailey Knox, New Found Glory, Ellie DeSautels (from NBC's Rise) and many more, and currently serves as a vocal consultant for major labels and music industry professionals. Her students have signed to major record labels, toured the world, won platinum and gold records, performed on all the late night and day time talk shows, and entered prestigious music schools such as Berklee College of Music and the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU.


Mike Mangini, Multi-Grammy Winning Producer, Songwriter

Michael Mangini is a two time Grammy-winning and multi platinum-selling producer, songwriter, and musician. Mike has worked with The Jonas Brothers, Joss Stone, David Byrne, Digable Planet, The Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Bruce Hornsby, Smash Mouth, Dionne Warwick, Five for Fighting, The Baha Men, Andy Grammer, AJR, Grace Weber, Diane Birch, Jillette Johnson, Hailey Knox, Elise LeGrow, Jackie Evancho, and many more in his 30+ years of successful work in this rapidly changing industry.


Peter Zizzo: Grammy & Emmy Award Winning Songwriter, Producer

Peter Zizzo is a Grammy and Emmy Award-winning songwriter and producer whose work has sold in excess of one hundred million records worldwide.

He has written songs for, and with, artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne, Jason Mraz, M2M, Billy Porter, Brie Larson, Pixie Lott, and many, many, more. His songs have also been featured in many major films and television shows.

As a talent developer, he was instrumental in the early careers of Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Carlton, Billy Porter, and Pixie Lott.

Matty Amendola: Producer, Studio Owner and Multi-Instrumentalist

Talented, versatile and uniquely-determined, Matty has been working professionally as a multi-instrumentalist for 15+ years, has recorded on a countless number of albums, and has quickly become a recognized producer and songwriter. In 2008, he started music incubator, 825 Records, with Grammy-Winning engineer Butch Jones, delivering material from a wide-ranging roster of artists.


Coley O'Toole, Platinum Selling Songwriter and Multi-Instrumentalist

Coley O’Toole is an accomplished songwriter/multi instrumentalist and has been performing in bands for two decades. Most notably, he is a member of the multi-platinum selling rock group We The Kings. In 2014 he produced their first full length acoustic album “Stripped.” He is also a contributing writer and founding member of the americana rock outfit Smoke Signals whose songs have been featured in hit television shows such as ABC’s “Parenthood” and the Showtime original series “Weeds.” 


Skip Glogan: Producer, Songwriter, and Multi-Instrumentalist

Production and Songwriting Coach Skip Glogan is the producer, writer, lead singer and multi-instrumentalist for his band Almost July, as well as a producer, co-writer and engineer for several others. He has been working with Melissa for more than five years and has been personally trained and mentored in production by Grammy-winner Mike Mangini, learning the ropes and learning to love the process! He worked with Melissa to design a holistic program specifically for students who want to write, release professional recordings, play in bands, collaborate, expand their music theory knowledge and improve their playing ability.  


Katelyn Wilson: Vocal Coach

Katelyn Wilson is a Connecticut native who has been studying voice for 12 years. She first found her love for singing when she started studying with Melissa Mulligan and soon became an “MMVSer.” Katelyn then went on to study music and performance at Manhattanville College where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Musical Theatre. Katelyn coaches voice, musical theatre performance, as well as audition prep.


Shayna Leigh: Singer, Songwriter, and Mindset Coach

Shayna Leigh is a New York City based singer/songwriter. She released her debut album "Drive" on Universal S-Curve in 2015 and is currently in the process of releasing her new EP "Disaster Artist." Shayna extensively studied both acting and musical theatre , earning a BFA in drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Shayna   loves sharing her knowledge of how to navigate the ever changing landscape of the music industry.

Mike Orent: Producer, Songwriter, and Multi-Instrumentalist

Mike Orent is a Connecticut-based producer, songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist. A graduate of Northeastern University’s Music Industry program, Mike has played, written, and produced in a wide variety of musical projects over the years. Mike will be relocating to Los Angeles as of 10/1/2019.


Wes White: Producer,Songwriter

Heavily inspired by Major Lazer and Jack Ü, Wes is a producer and songwriter from Columbia, Missouri. Wes’ first official step into the "computer music" genre happened on July 12, 2016 featuring his instrumental track “Digital Flirt” and was soon followed by his first full and completely original single “Never Wanted You” featuring Cōver. 


Caitlin Kalafus: Drummer, Songwriter, and Music Industry Mentor

Caitlin Kalafus has been playing drums since the age of eight and began playing professionally at the young age of twelve. In 2010 she toured the country in Kicking Daisies, a band that won Disney’s Next Big Thing, appeared on national TV shows, made the Billboard Charts and were featured in a nationally aired TV commercial. Following KD, Caitlin continued to play in various bands while attending college for Graphic Design, and toured Vans Warped Tour with the Brooklyn based band, Mother Feather.


Anna Luther: Singer, Songwriter, and Vocal Coach

MMVS student turned coach, Anna Luther has had the opportunity to develop her skills as a part of the Mastermind and Mastermind Graduate program. A singer/songwriter with a BS in Developmental Psychology from Virginia Tech, she is now thrilled to be joining MMVS as a vocal coach. Anna studied classical, musical theater, and contemporary voice for over 10 years. She was the music director for Mixed Emotions A Cappella at Virginia Tech and arranged, directed, and helped produce two albums during her time there. Over the course of her college career she discovered her passion for contemporary songwriting, and has now written, produced, and released multiple originals on all platforms.

Steve Walter: Photographer, Graphic Designer, Brand Consultant and Videographer

Steve Walter’s work includes developing corporate brands, graphic design for large and small businesses, fashion photography, event photography, music videos, live video shoots, head shots, social media consultations for recording artists, and more.

Father, husband and artist. Steve graduated with high honors and a degree in visual communication. Working as an art director at a marketing agency for almost a decade, he was able to work on campaigns and materials for brands like, Pepsi, Entenmanns, Thomas’, 1800 Tequila and Three Olives Vodka. After working as a designer he transitioned toward a freelance photo and video career maintained for the past 9 years.


Marisa Boras: Creative Marketing Manager, Mick Management

Marisa is a graphic designer, photographer and videographer residing in Brooklyn, NY. After a six year stint in Nashville where she attended Belmont University and worked with country music stars, she’s now the Creative Marketing Manager at Mick Management, working with artists like Leon Bridges, Maggie Rogers and more on all things visual.

Jess Tyler: Coordinator, Photographer, and Graphic Designer

Jess Tyler is a coordinator, photographer, and graphic designer residing in Binghamton, NY. She’s always dreamed of working in music, and got her start in the industry by designing album artwork for friends and photographing local shows. Before graduating from SUNY Oneonta with a B.A. in Digital Art, Jess held the position of graphic designer and public relations chair for the university’s Music Industry Club.

Post-graduation, she spent a year as a photojournalist for Business Insider before making the decision to freelance full-time, eventually crossing paths with Melissa and finding her place as the coordinator for the Music Career Mastermind program.
